What is LymphaTouch ?
LymphaTouch is a negative pressure devise, which lifts the tissue and stimulates lymphatic and blood circulation in the treated area. The device can be used with either pulsating or continuous negative pressure. The pulsation allows the tissue time to recover, making the treatment gentle and suitable for sensitive and painful areas. Additionally, the device’s mechanical vibration feature helps soften tight tissue structures, such as contracted and adhesive scars.
LymphaTouch is being used on a C-section scar by Powellfit, in Chelmsford.
How can LymphaTouch help your C-section recovery?
Lymphatouch® works below the surface of the scar to improve tissue mobility, circulation, and lymphatic flow—areas that are often compromised following surgery.
This targeted decompression helps reduce post-surgical swelling, fluid retention, and inflammation while encouraging effective lymphatic drainage. As circulation improves, oxygen and nutrient delivery to the tissues is enhanced, supporting the body’s natural healing processes and improving scar quality over time.
For C-section scars, Lymphatouch® is particularly effective in softening dense or fibrotic tissue, reducing adhesions, and improving the elasticity and pliability of the scar and surrounding fascia. This can lead to improved comfort, reduced pulling or tight sensations, can help reduce the C-section overhang or shelf, and better functional movement of the abdominal wall.
When combined with skilled manual scar therapy, Lymphatouch® allows for deeper, more precise work without excessive pressure, making the treatment both effective and gentle. The result is a scar that moves more freely, integrates better with surrounding tissue, and supports long-term core function and postnatal recovery.
